Journey of Faith Day 5: The Benefits of a Relationship with God

Today’s post is a bit personal, and I want to share a more uplifting aspect of my journey. If you’ve read my earlier posts, you know I’ve navigated through challenging times. Amidst feelings of isolation and weakness, God was a constant presence, providing comfort as I faced life’s trials. I’m not resentful of hardships; they’ve shaped me. More importantly, the strength God granted me during those struggles defined the person I’ve become.

Consider this analogy: just as muscle growth requires controlled damage during workouts, life’s struggles can lead to personal growth. God provides the strength needed to endure. Accepting God allows us to face challenges, grow, and emerge stronger.

Why do we need God? In times of stress, focusing on a loving creator brings a sense of security. His forgiveness is a healing balm in a harsh world. When surrounded by judgment, criticism, and ridicule, turning to God offers an escape. His forgiveness is readily available to those who seek it.

God gives us purpose. Each of us is created intentionally, known, and loved. Recognizing our this fosters harmonious living with others. God’s teachings brighten our spirits, and a supportive community of believers strengthens our faith during moments of weakness.

While I understand hesitations about institutions, finding a genuine group of believers can be a valuable support system. They have personally helped me overcome obstacles in faith and in my professional life. I invite you to explore, by checking out the gospel of Mathew, Mark, Luke, and John or visiting a church of your choice. You can even try finding a Christian Youtube channel like Ascension Presents. I’m not catholic, but I’ve loved their videos because they are warm and friendly.
